抢饭碗 = steal your rice bowl？

英语里并没有这个固定说法。更常用的说法是：

Take your job: 抢你的工作
Take your livelihood: 抢你的生计（livelihood的意思是你赖以生存的工作技能）

Bread and butter: 用黄油与面包来比如赖以生存的工作技能，很像我们用饭碗来比喻

不过英语里不会说steal someone's bread and butter，而是说某种技能是你的bread and butter：

Teaching English is my bread and butter.

取代

除了抢饭碗，“取代”这个词也常与新技术同时出现：

To replace: 取代
Be replaced: 被取代
Displace: 顶替、置换

Replace和displace区别：replace更侧重是比如东西丢失了或者坏了，要replace，当然人也可以被replace，总是基本是等同的人事物replace；而displace更侧重被代替、顶替、流离失所。

我们通过例句来对比下差异：

Our old boss was replaced by someone younger who is more in tune with current market trends: 我们以前的老板被一个更年轻的取代了，因为他更了解现在的市场趋势。

Floods have displaced hundreds of families in the area: 洪水让这个地方几百户居民失去家园。

Automation has displaced many blue-collar workers: 自动化让很多蓝领工作失去了依靠（这里displace既有被取代，又有被取代后丧失生计的不安全感）。
